Migrate your
LYXe to LYX
Connect a wallet with LYXe to
start the migration process

1. Connect a wallet
that holds your LYXe
Not sure which wallet to use? We’d recommend installing MetaMask and transferring your LYXe there to start the migration process.

2. Select amount of LYXe to migrate
After you choose the amount of LYXe you want to migrate, hit the migrate button. Please note this process sends your migrated tokens to the same wallet address (smart wallets DO NOT work).
3. Switch wallet to LUKSO Mainnet
Add LUKSO as a custom network to view your LYX on LUKSO Mainnet.

Frequently asked questions
While you will need a browser-based wallet for the actual migration, you can still use hardware wallets like Ledger and Trezor to store LYX after the migration. Currently, there is no native integration of LYX with a hardware wallet. Nevertheless, LUKSO is an EVM-compatible network. Therefore, any Ethereum wallet that allows custom networks can be used on the LUKSO network. Both Ledger and Trezor can connect to browser-based wallets like MetaMask and then be used to send or receive tokens. To see your LYX, you must add the LUKSO Mainnet as a custom network. The parameters can be found in the Network section. MetaMask might show a network duplication warning. This is because the chain ID of the LUKSO mainnet (42) equals the Kovan testnet of Ethereum. The reference might be updated soon. It is nothing to worry about.
If you hold your LYXe on an exchange platform, they might migrate your LYXe for you, but this up the exchanges themselves. You will need to follow the updates of the exchange for information.
If you want to migrate yourself but don't have a browser-based wallet, e.g., holding your LYXe on a Ledger or Trezor, we recommend installing MetaMask in your browser. After generating a new blockchain address on the installed wallet, you can send the LYXe to your new wallet and begin the migration from the browser. MetaMask also supports connecting both Ledger and Trezor hardware wallets directly.
If you have LYXe on a hardware wallet like Ledger or Trezor, you can either send them to a supported crypto exchange, before they migrate or migrate yourself by connecting your hardware wallet to a browser-based wallet like MetaMask. Make sure your hardware wallet are supported by these browser-based wallets. Make sure the browser based wallet can add custom chains.
The LYX will be sent to the same blockchain address that stores your LYXe, but on the LUKSO Blockchain.
The minimum amount you can migrate is 1 LYXe.
Please check the social media and updates from the exchanges holding LYXe, if or when they migrate LYXe to LYX automatically.
We have tested MetaMask, but technically all browser based wallets that support custom chains to be added should work. Note that only private keys/Externally Owned Accounts based wallets are supported. Smart contract based wallet will not work! Please always store your mnemonic seed phrase safe, as it is the only way to access your funds within regular wallets.
Since LYXe exist on Ethereum, you will need ETH to cover the Gas costs of the transaction when using the migration dApp. The transfer will cost less than 200k Gas, corresponding to an average amount of 0,005-0,01 ETH. Remember that these prices can fluctuate if the network is at capacity.
The minimum amount you can migrate is 1 LYXe.
To check your LYX balance, you can add the LUKSO network to your standalone wallets once the migration within the dApp is complete. If you hold LYXe on an exchange that has LYXe please refer to the announcements of the exchange if or when they migrate LYXe to LYX.
